The first meeting was held at the Great Hall of Kharisma Residence, where team members were introduced to the historical background of Stalingrad (Volgograd) and Port Said, learning about their status as "Hero Cities" and the historical ties between Russia and Egypt.

Deputy Head of the Agency for Federalism, CIS Humanitarian Cooperation, and international university representatives attended the official presentation of the project, which received full approval.

Egyptian team members participated in traditional Russian Maslenitsa celebrations, tasting Russian pies, making kokoshniks and masks, and enjoying folklore performances. Team leader Kyriakos Malek prepared an Egyptian dessert, zalabiya, highlighting cultural similarities.

The team participated in an international discussion about women's status in different regions, including Russia, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the CIS, fostering cross-cultural understanding.

ANO RAU initiated a joint meeting between cultural and educational committees in Volgograd to discuss the establishment of an international youth club and an application for the Presidential Cultural Foundation’s Initiatives Competition, securing financial support.

Journalist Ivan Kozlov advised team members on working with archives to gather information about Port Said Street. He recommended consulting Secondary School No. 5 for historical records of its alumni living there.

A discussion was held on organizing the first scientific conference between Russian and Egyptian students during Middle East Week, scheduled for May 23.

Following journalist Ivan Kozlov’s advice, the team visited Secondary School No. 5 to present in English about Port Said’s history and its ties to Volgograd.

An on-site tour was conducted to explore the historical landmarks of Port Said Street.

Volgograd State Medical University students, including team members, visited local schools to celebrate the event and raise awareness about the project and the twin-city relationship.

The university hosted competition winners from Middle Eastern countries, where the team presented in Russian on the historical relations between Volgograd and Port Said.

Russian and Egyptian medical professionals from dental surgery and obstetrics-gynecology departments discussed recent medical advancements and exchanged insights on education and healthcare systems.

Representatives from Volgograd State Medical University and Port Said University met online, including the International Department heads and faculty members. A presentation on each university’s goals, achievements, and collaboration opportunities was conducted.

The event included the General Diplomatic Forum for Peace, a memorial ceremony for WWII victims, a second medical conference, and a World Youth Day celebration featuring an exhibition of cultural artifacts from different nationalities at Volgograd Medical University.

Team members participated in a performance of traditional Egyptian folklore (tahtib), enriching the cultural exchange experience.
